SENsory Clubs
Ages: 3 – 17
At Conscious Kids, our SENsory Clubs are unique on the market, as we are research-based, predominantly in the areas of therapy, education and science. We are designed to engage the 5 senses in depth and promote relaxation through themed sensory play, as well as enhance self-awareness and cognition. These sessions are designed for young people specifically with Special educational needs, and we use our NASA-inspired therapeutic technology in a tailored manner. In addition to delivering 1:1 sensory play sessions, our groups are intentionally small and in an intimate setting, so we only take a few individuals per session. We use this to your advantage as it simply means that your young person gets a high-quality session with plenty of attention and care! During school holidays, we also offer therapy-led sensory crash courses which predominantly focus on cognition, self-awareness, wellbeing and regulation.
How We Do It
Our Aim: We try to arrange our sessions so that young people are grouped according to their current cognitive abilities and needs, rather than age brackets. Our aim is to dive deeply into the 5 senses while being exposed to our therapeutic technology to promote self-awareness, regulation, cognition and wellbeing.
Our Technology: Our technology is suitable and safe for all young people of all ages. We have specific frequencies that target young people with SEN in order to promote better brain functioning. In these sessions, we also use frequencies that are designed to promote feelings of calmness through regulation of the nervous system, and therefore emotional state. (Please click here for more details on our technology and proof of scientific evidence with children with SEN).
Our Methodologies: We engage in a combination of Sensory activities and creative play to promote curiosity as well as gross and fine motor skills. We use picture exchange communication system (PECS) to aid communication and also use tailored audios to further regulate our young people’s nervous systems.
